TEA & TECH with Our P.7 Pupils and Our Older Wiser Learners (OWLs)

24th Mar 2026
We were delighted to welcome our Older Wiser Learners (OWLs) into school for a wonderful morning led by our Primary 7 pupils. The event brought generations together in a warm, friendly and engaging session focused on an important modern theme: staying safe online.

The P.7 pupils, who have been learning about digital citizenship and internet safety, took on the role of teachers as they presented an interactive workshop for our OWLs. With confidence and enthusiasm, they guided the group through key topics such as recognising online scams, creating strong passwords, spotting misinformation, and understanding how to protect personal information.

Through quizzes, demonstrations, and real life examples, the pupils helped make the session both informative and enjoyable. The interactive activities sparked lots of discussion, with the OWLs sharing their own experiences while the pupils explained the safety tips they have been using in school.

It was wonderful to see how well the generations worked together—listening, learning, and supporting one another. The morning highlighted not only the pupils’ knowledge, but also their maturity, communication skills, and sense of responsibility. Our visitors praised the P.7s for the clarity of their presentation and the thoughtful way they answered questions.

Events like this remind us of the value of community connections. Bringing pupils and Older Wiser Learners together strengthens relationships and encourages shared learning in a meaningful and memorable way.

A big thank you to our OWLs for joining us, and huge congratulations to our P.7 pupils for delivering such an impressive, helpful, and engaging workshop. We look forward to welcoming our OWLs back for future learning adventures!
