 October Newsletter

Confirmation

Congratulations to all the Mullanaskea children who made their Confirmation on Thursday 24th September in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tempo. We hope you enjoyed your day and we wish you all the best of luck in your new schools.

First Communion

Congratulations are also in order to all the boys and girls in Primary 5 who made their First Communion on Saturday 26th September. We hope you all enjoyed your special day.

School Dinners

Just a reminder that the school dinners are £2.60 each day and all money is to be brought in on a Monday morning unless told otherwise.

The dinner menu is on the school website. We are currently on Week 1. We have been assured by Holy Trinity that the dinner menu will not change but if there is a change we will let you know in advance.

There has been a change to the dinner on Friday 2nd October. It was supposed to be chilli chicken but instead it will be a chicken goujon wrap with chips.

It is not too late to check your eligibility for Free School Meals. Click on the link below which will bring you directly to the Education Authority website.

School Nurse

The School Nurse will be collecting the letters that were sent out tomorrow. Please return these to the school. As these are sent directly from the School Nurse, we are unable to reissue letters. There was an error on the letters that were sent out. The School Nursing Team will be in the school on Tuesday 1st December to  administer to flu vaccinations.

Milk

The cost of the milk is £40 for the year or £15 for this term (September-December). If you have not already done so, please send it into the school on Monday 5th October.

We Have an App!

Our school is now listed in the Schools NI app, which allows you to view school updates and receive messages via your phone or tablet. The app is available on both Apple and Android devices, and will give you access to our school’s news, calendar events and letters. Information on how to download will be provided. Please note that this is not a payment app but an app that will provide you with information when it is uploaded onto the school website. This is to reduce the number of text messages sent to you telling you to check the website. We are hoping that at some point in the future this will be the only way we will be communicating to you. This is a free app so please download.

School Closures

The school will be closed from Monday 26th October until Friday 30th October for the Halloween Holidays. There is a Staff Development Day on Monday 2nd November.

The children return to school on Tuesday 3rd November.
