Book Fair

The Book Fair will continue this week for the children.  The Book Fair will be open for P3-P7 parents on Thursday from 3-4pm.  Congratulations to all our winners in the illustration and costume competitions on Friday.

First Confession

Congratulations to all our Primary 4 children who made their First Confession in March.

Brass

Brass will continue every Tuesday for P5, P6 and P7 children.

Swimming

The swimming programme will continue for the P6 and P7 children every Tuesday for the month of April.

P7 Afterschool Soccer

The Primary 7 afterschool soccer programme will continue until the Easter break.  The last day will be Monday 11th April.

CORE NI

CORE NI will continue their in-school programme with the children in P1-P4 every Wednesday.  A new 6-week block will start from this Wednesday, 6th April.  There was an error on the CORE NI booking form.  Please note there will be no afterschool programme on Wednesday 20th April due to the school closure.  The programme will run on Wednesday 6th & 27th April, 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th of May.  The Primary 2 children will have the opportunity to attend the 2-3pm slot and the Primary 4 children will have the opportunity to attend the 3-4pm slot.

Spanish

Davide will continue to visit the school on Thursdays throughout the month of April for Spanish lessons.

Movie Night

Thank you to everyone who attended the P1, P2 and P3 Movie Night held last week.  The children had a great time.  The Movie Night for the P4, P5, P6 and P7 children will be held on Wednesday 6th April.  Drop off is at 6:15pm.  The movie will start at 6:30pm and children are to be collected at 8pm.  Children can wear their pyjamas if they wish, bring a pillow/cuddly toy/blanket.  Children can also bring their own snack.  A drink will be provided.

Easter Raffle

Our PA are organising an Easter Raffle.  If you would like to donate any raffle prizes such as toys, sweets, chocolate etc. please leave them into the school office this week.  If you would like to buy tickets for the raffle, please see a member of the PA or alternatively the school office.

School Nurse

The School Nursing Team will be in the School on Tuesday and Wednesday to see the P1 children.  Letters were sent by the School Nurse and the majority of these have been returned.  If you have not already done so, please return your letter as the nurse will not be able to see your child if it is not returned.

RDS Science Blast

Congratulations to our Primary 7 class who presented their Science Project last Wednesday to Professor Ronan Killeen, Clinical Professor UCD School of Medicine.  The children have been working very hard on their project and they were awarded an ESB Science Blast Trophy.

The Primary 6 children will present their project on Wednesday 6th April.

Ukraine Appeal

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Ukraine.  A total of 37 large boxes of essential items have made their way to Ukraine and are now with those who need them most.

Hurling

Lisbellaw Hurling Club will continue working with the P5 children until the Easter break.  Congratulations to the Fermanagh Hurling Team who won the Division 3B League Final against Longford at the weekend.

Spring Clean

The school will have their Annual Spring Clean on Tuesday 12th April at 6pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend and lend a hand.   

Stations of the Cross

The whole school will participate in the Stations of the Cross on Wednesday 13th April.  We would like the children to dress as people from Jesus’ time.  To do this, the children need a shirt (preferably an oversized shirt), a tie and a tea towel.  The children will come dressed in their normal uniform and can slip this gear over the uniform at the time of the ceremony.  These items need to be in a carrier bag with your child’s name clearly marked on everything including the bag.

Choir

The School Choir have been rehearsing for the First Holy Communion.  They will continue to meet every week.

School Closures

The School will close at 3pm on Wednesday 13th April at 3pm for Easter.  The School will reopen for everyone on Monday 25th April.

Please note the School will be closed on Monday 2nd May as it is a Bank Holiday.

Upcoming Events:

First Holy Communion

First Holy Communion will take place on Saturday 7th May in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tempo at 11am.

Confirmation

Confirmation will take place on Sunday 15th May at 3pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tempo along with the Primary 7 children of St. Mary’s Tempo.
