Today was simply glorious. The photos will speak for themselves.
All that remains is to acknowledge and thank all the ladies that made all of this possible aka the ‘Dream Team’!
Thank you to Mrs Sweeney, Mrs Maguire, Mrs Mc Cusker, Mrs Hanna, Mrs Kennedy, Miss Woods, Mrs Dunbar and very crucially, Miss Brannigan. They were beyond supportive and enthusiastic. They ensured every child was safe, fed and watered, engaged and included in every activity. They helped every child to feel success and enjoyment every day without bias. Thank you so much ladies. You were all simply the best!
Thanks also to Mr Mc Keever for his support with ensuring the school was safe and secure each day.
A word of thanks to Dara and Ruairí, who helped keep the children entertained on the VR and are responsible for the incredible drone footage of the Water Fight!
Thank you so much to ‘Bounce About’ for supplying the brilliant bouncy castles, Dominos for the tasty pizzas and Eamonn Howe for his delicious ice cream. Thank you to Sinead in Mc Keagney’s of Tempo for supporting us with our snacks for the past 2 weeks and for the lovely hot food today. Thank you to Owen Mohan for supplying the bus and to Noel for driving us around.
My final word of thanks goes to Ms O’Neill, our principal. She had the vision and foresight to know what this Summer scheme could do for the amazing children of Mullanaskea. They now have a whole host of incredible memories created together and have found new strength and confidence in their own abilities and skills.
I will end by saying that I have thoroughly loved and enjoyed every day spent with these children. They are truly a special bunch and I hope they will always remember the Summer of 2021 which was spent having fun together.
