Covid-19 November 2021

22nd Nov 2021

22/11/2021

Dear Parent,

I am hoping you are all well.  As you are aware, the school is experiencing an increase in COVID 19 cases. I am in contact with P.H.A., and the main piece of advice emerging from this is when twenty percent of a class tests positive with the infection, is to advise parents to get their child tested with the P.C.R. test.   I am asking you to follow this advice if your child’s class receives a standard letter entitled ‘Additional P.C.R. Testing as Part of COVID 19 Cluster Investigation’.

I am also advising you to get any of your child’s siblings who attend our school tested in the event of you receiving this letter.

It is important that you inform me of your child’s results and especially if your child tests positive for COVID 19, so that I can track how the infection is progressing throughout the school.

As always, please do not go into panic mode.  This infection is widespread in society and this is to be expected.  However, it is important to identify clusters and respond appropriately.  It is vital that we keep the vulnerable and elderly safe in our school community and in our society.

This situation will pass and I wish you and all your family good health and best wishes.

Ms. O’Neill.
